Whenever you open any kind of account, it requires your details and documents to verify your profile. Similarly, if you are planning to open an account with Groww, you are required to submit your documents and details. The documents Groww asks for are not optional.
Documents Required to Open an Account With Groww
1. PAN Card
Without a PAN card, no investment is possible. The PAN card is also used to prove identity in Groww.
2. Address Proof
All evidence of the address shall be accepted if it is a valid government-recognized document.
The list of valid address proofs is as follows;
- Driving license
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID Card
3. Bank Details
Groww is requesting your bank details because this is the only way you can make transactions over the Internet. If you’re investing, it’s through an Internet banking account.
The mutual fund provider will credit the cash back to the bank account you gave us when you signed up and redeemed. It’s not possible to conduct transactions without details about your bank account.
4. Signature
In addition to the documents mentioned above, Groww would also like you to click on a photograph or send us an image of your signature on white paper. BSE is the sole means of carrying out all transactions. To open an account on BSE, Groww needs your signature.
5. Privacy
All documents shall be stored by bank security measures and shall be completely secure. The Groww collects no unnecessary information from users. It only asks for the necessary information. According to Government rules, it is not possible to invest without these documents.
