How Can I Open a Corporate Account for a Private or Public Company at Zerodha?

To open a corporate account, you must visit a physical location as it cannot be done online like resident individual accounts. The documents required for a corporate account depend on whether the company and the director have registered KYC. If they haven’t, you’ll need the following documents to open a corporate account:

Please provide the following documents for the equity and commodity application:

  • Equity application form
  • Commodity application form
  • Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI) (optional)
  • Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) declaration (PDF)

Additionally, Include the following:

  • A PAN copy of the company, signed and sealed by the authorized signatory or director.
  • Address proof in the company’s name, such as a utility bill, lease or rent agreement, or a copy of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
  • The latest month’s transaction copy of the company’s bank statement.

To activate your F&O and commodity segments, following documents are included:

  • Copy of your balance sheet
  • bank account proof

For proof of income:

  • The latest six months’ bank statement
  • Last year’s income tax return acknowledgment
  • Latest year’s audited profit and loss statement
  • DP holding statement of the entity
  • Board resolution on the company letterhead in PDF format
  • UBO Annexure A in PDF format.
