How to Add a Nominee in Nuvama Account?

In the event of your death, adding a nominee guarantees a seamless transfer of your securities to the beneficiary of your choice. Here are the steps to add a nominee to your Dhan account:

How do I add a nominee in Nuvama?

Through Website

Step 1: You can raise a service request online by logging in to www.nuvamawealth.com

Step 2: Visit the Profile Section and go to the Service Request option.

Step 3: Click on ‘Create Service Request’.

Step 4: Select the option for nomination.

Step 5: Select the trading + Demat option.

Step 6: Enter the required nominee details.

Step 7: Press the ‘Submit’ and ‘Done’ button.

Through Mobile Application

Step 1: Go to the side menu of the Nuvama application. Click on the ‘Settings’ option.

Step 2: Go to the profile page. Scroll below and find the ‘Service Request’ option on the page. 

Step 3: Select the ‘Service Request’ type. Choose the ‘Nomination’ option. Click on ‘submit’.

Step 4: There will be 2 options:

a. Opt-out- if you do not wish to add anyone as nominee. 

b. Add Nomination. 

Step 5: Choose the ‘Trading +Demat’ option. Your trading account number will be visible to you. Choose how many nominees you wish to add. 

Step 6: Divide the % of nominations of shares in case of more than it is one nominee, otherwise input it as 100%. Enter the Nominee’s details. Choose the relationship you share with the nominee. 

Step 7: Finally, click on the ‘submit’ option. 

Note: Your request will be processed in 48 hours and the confirmation for the same will be received via email.

Offline Process

Download, enter, and submit the physical nomination form at Nuvama’s nearest branch as soon as possible.

Tick mark on the form and submit ANYONE of the following documents for the nominee:

1. Nominee photo and signature
2. PAN number
3. Aadhaar Number
4. Saving Bank account no
5. Demat Account ID
6. Nuvama DP account number
7. Proof of Identity (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving license, Voter’s ID) Needs to submit a copy of proof of identity duly attested by the nominee.

Note: For just demat accounts (i.e., if you don’t have a trading account with them and just have a Demat account): 

• Holders of NSDL demat accounts must nominate themselves online through the depository or the previously specified offline method.

• https://eservices.nsdl.com/instademat-kyc-nomination/#/login is the NSDL nomination URL.

• Only the above offline procedure needs to be used for nominations from CDSL demat account holders.
